Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad (BBMKU) is a public university located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. The university was established in 2017 by the Jharkhand government. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in a variety of disciplines, including engineering, management, science, humanities, and social sciences.
History
The university was established in 2017 by the Jharkhand government through the Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University Act, 2017. The university was named after Binod Bihari Mahto, a former chief minister of Jharkhand. The university was inaugurated by the then chief minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das, on November 13, 2017.
Campus
The university’s main campus is located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The campus is spread over an area of 100 acres. The campus is well-equipped with modern facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, hostels, and sports facilities.
